These terms govern your use of Quizzy McQuizface (“the app”), a real-time multiplayer trivia game developed by Cameron Hasan, operating as a sole trader. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
The service
Quizzy McQuizface lets a host start a live trivia quiz and invite other players to join with a code. Quiz sessions are temporary: they exist only while players are actively playing and are not saved once a quiz ends or the server restarts.
User-generated content
Display names and round topics are entered by you and other players, and are shown to everyone in the same session. You agree not to submit names or topics that are offensive, harassing, illegal, or that impersonate another person.
All submitted names and topics pass through automated content moderation before being shown to other players. Every player also has access to in-app Report and Remove controls to flag or remove another player from a lobby they host. We may remove content or players at our discretion to keep the app safe to use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the app to harass or abuse other players; attempt to disrupt or overload the game servers; or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
No accounts, no guaranteed persistence
The app does not require an account. Because quiz sessions are held in server memory only, a server restart or connectivity issue may end an in-progress quiz. We're not liable for interruptions to a live game.
Third-party content
Some trivia questions are sourced from the Open Trivia Database (opentdb.com), used under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. The app uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Some music trivia is grounded in data from MusicBrainz (musicbrainz.org). Ownership of that underlying content remains with its respective source.

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cameron Hasan is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
